Killarney Beer Festival Preview


Our roll out of our 'Manor Brewer Series' limited edition beers continues next month, with the launch of our first ever IPAs 'Triumph & Disaster' and 'Bigger than Ben Hur DIPA' at the Killarney Beer Festival.

As a specialist lager brewery, with our flagship beer MONT growing rapidly internationally, we decided that we needed some other styles to compliment our Pilsner-style lager at festivals around the country. Afterall, not everyone digs lager!

Triumph & Disaster IPA (5.7%abv 66 IBUs) is our take on a classic India Pale Ale, but with a mix of English & New Zealand hops, our head boy Michael brought back from a recent trip to his home country. Bigger than Ben Hur (Double IPA) at 9.0l%abv and a whopping 100 IBUs is, well, big!

Both new beers come after the success our Manor Brewer Series 2 beers, 'Tall Poppy Syndrome' (a 7.2% Belgian Dubbel), and 'Black is the New Orange' a 5.0% black lager infused with Valencia oranges through a randal), which we brewed for Craft Beer Rising in London at the end of winter.

All our MBS beers are very small batch, producing between 5-10 kegs a time, so if you are at Killarney Beer Festival make sure you get over to us quick before these limited edition beers are gone!

Alternatively, if you are in the neighbourhood, or fancy a weekend excursion up the Sallygap Road, we always hold back a keg or teo of our limited edition MBS beers exclusively for our newly developed Bell Tower taproom at the brewery.

Set on the idealic grounds of Kilbride Manor, amonsgst 42 acres of woodlands, mountain rivers, grand manor estate gardens, and our taproom aims to be one of the best craft brewery experiences in the country. Until the #CraftDrinksBill gets passed into law, you can join the 'Errol Mont Club' as a private member to enjoy the local tipple and taproom events.

Amongst the planned events, we plan to hold a 'arthouse cinema night' once a month, sports quiz tournaments, art exhibitions, and 'drop the mike' comedy evenings. All complimented with wood-fired pizza menu and on summer weekends a NZ-style 'Hangi' BBQ.
